Great IDEA for Successful Agers who are movin' on up!

at lunch today I learned of a lady that owns a business helping transition successful agers into their new facilities. The decorator takes photos of their existing home, then meets with the family regarding which pieces and elements are most important. Then she packs it up and moves it over to the new facility... when the Successful Ager comes in, he or she is already right at home. Isn't that brilliant?! What ideas have you come up with that make the transition easier?

great idea to help your successful ager protect themselves

PUT YOUR CAR KEYS BESIDE YOUR BED AT NIGHT

The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car… Continue

Robin,
What a wonderful site!! This is going to be a great source of comfort, support and understanding for so many people! In our clinic, we often visit with patients who need so much support in this particular area so I will be thrilled to have a place to send them when they have questions, opinions or just want a soft place to land when they want to vent about these kinds of issues.
We will all be in this stage of life one day, so this sort of site will absolutely give us a "heads up" about what to expect and how to prepare. Thank you, Robin. You amaze me!

Robyn, thanks for sharing this website with me. One of the most difficult and yet most rewarding times of my life has been as a caregiver to my mother. I think this may prove invaluable to those who need support in their caregiving.

Robyn, thanks for the invite to join. My Mother passed away one year ago Aug 7th and knowing the difficulties of caring for her, working full time and having an active family with children and grandchildren of my own was sometimes very stressful and "lonely". This would have been a wonderful tool had I know.
