How is Rhonda? Did Charlie ever remarry?
Thanks so much for joining. I'm so glad to have you here. I hope we can help you and you can help others by sharing all that you have learned. Let me know if there is anything in particular you could use help with... Thanks.
Hi Linda, Sorry I did not get back about lunch last week. I am trying to find a new job and I had an interview last week. I have found a home school organization, in Plano, that is looking for certified teachers. The job is much less stressful. I should hear something back soon. I can't teach full time next year, at the school I was at. There are just not enough hours in the day to spend time with mom, and also my grand babies. Will's son will be a year old at the end of August. CeCe is due to have her first (a boy) on August 25th. The doctor told her that she will probably have the baby early. She is already dilated and 50% effaced. You never know!
Mom is in a nursing home, in Plano. She seems to be doing as well as can be expected. She knows she knows me, but I can be her mother, sister, or a friend. We moved her from a home in McKinney. They were using drugs to medically restrain her. It was awful! I really thought she was dying last year. Turns out, it was the drugs. Fortunately, hospice care (she is not in immediate danger of dying but they can still see her) told me to get her out of the nursing home in McKinney. They saw what they were doing to mom. Anyways, she is happier and more active. This is a terrible disease. She has had it for a long while and will stay at a certain level and then suddenly drop to another level. I don't know how long she has. She has defied the odds so far.
I'll bet you will be glad to see Danielle and the baby. The baby is so cute! How is Kristen doing? Is she still in Vegas?
Call me if you want to talk! 214-504-1910.
Dear Heidi, It sounds like you made the right decision about moving your mom.. I hope that she was not in the same home setting my dad was. He passed away and they did not notify my mom so that she could be with him (she was just a few blocks away) in Plano. My mom has never gotten over not being able to say goodbye.
We are doing well. Sandy is on a state-wide book signing tour. He wrote "The Sins of Tarrant County". It's a political action murder mystery with a love story. Everyone loves it. You can get it on Amazon.com (Morgan James Publishers).
I've been watching PBC, Jack Graham on TV-makes me miss the church. I wonder if the great gigolo is still lurking around the singles Sunday School class! He has squandered all the money he ever had. He needs a very rich bride to support him.
I love retirement...it took me a year to adjust. I don't know how I ever got anything done. My mom is in assisted living in Southlake. She has cognitive impairment but is doing quite well physically.
I finally got my legs working again. That was a tough few years.
I'll call soon and we can catch up! Take care. Linda

We all are doing great.
Once I come back will tell you all about the trip.
Thanks again.
Give my regards to MOM and Sandy.

Steve
