10 Years & "The Long Goodbye"

July 29, 2008 First Blog:

Mother had been in Assisted Living for the last 8 years, but that no longer met her needs as her sciatic nerve attacks and "forgetfulness" worsened. Last December, after a… Continue

it is truly my honor... and you're right. this is a crucial resource. people need to know how to get what they need most, hopefully before they need it in a crisis...

also. wow. "the long goodbye". my mind will be working on that in particular - thanks for contributing to the expansion of ideas for HELPing caregivers.

Each day brings new "adjustments" when caring for a loved one who is 94 and has dementia. This is a wonderful support system. Wish I had it a long time ago! Thanks!!

Helen is Mother of 2 (son & daughter), Grandmother of 7 (4 boys & 3 girls) and Great Grandmother of 14 (7 boys & 7 girls)! Pretty amazing for someone who spent 16 months in a charity hospital at age 18 and weighed 51 lbs by age 19. And they said it would never happen! We call her our "Survivor Helen"!

Hi Ginny:

Thanks so much for your message! I look forward to meeting you as well! Certainly God is all over CaringSource. While Bryan and I are coming at this from differing career perspectives and with broken hearts for different folks, we both want the same primary goal...to honor and glorify God!

May His grace and mercy be with you today!

Hi Ginny,
Great to hear from you. We are great and still living in Macon. I'd love to see you too. We are visiting Chad and Stephanie in Atlanta right now. The kids are having a great time. Talk to you soon.
