Birmingham Senior Summit
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Center for Aging and the United Way of Central Alabama just announced plans to host a Senior Summit in February, 2010.
"The purpose of the Summit is to join together leaders from various faith-based organizations, as well as individuals in our community in an effort to expand services to the senior citizens of Jefferson County and the surrounding area. Through sharing of resources and best practices of many organizations, continuing education, networking, and collaboration among groups, we hope this Summit provides an environment of cooperation in pursuit
of a common goal. "
